A Bigger Daibutsu
There is a new Daibutsu, known as the Rokuya Daibutsu, at Hinode-machi, Nishitama-gun, Tokyo. It is larger than the well-known Daibutsu at Kamakura, but smaller than the Great Buddha at Nara.
Access from Tokyo takes about 2 hours total by rail including a 25 minute bus ride or walk from the nearest rail station.
