Tokyo Station Dining

Tokyo Station Dining
It's a good idea when arriving at Tokyo Station to go to the Information Desk and get a map and directions, as it is a large space with many nooks and hallways. And for the most part, people at the Information Desks are usually quite helpful.

Although much easier to navigate since extensive reconstruction and reorganization in recent years, it is called Tokyo Station City for good reason. There are many shops and eating places, especially on the B1 level, where you can find most anything you might be looking for in the way of food or omiyage.

These images are where Nippon Gourmet Road meets Tokyo Ramen Street on the Yaesu side of the station. This area is convenient if you are heading to a Shinkansen gate.
We decided to dive right in between trains and had an early lunch of Kagoshima tonkatsu. It turned out to be an excellent choice, as our senior citizen plan of eating early and often paid off once again. The most popular place by the length of the line, though, was across the "road" at the tsukemen ramen shop.

  1. That restaurant on the corner of Ramen Street with the long line is Rokurinsha, which was started by a protege of the inventor of tsukemen.
Might be a good idea to arrive early before your next train and get in line?
