Beck's Coffee Shop

Beck's Coffee Shop
By its old school outward appearance and name, Beck's never seemed too compelling, but it being the only place open early in the morning drew us in.
It turned out to be a marvel of thoughtful planning and service, and in fact is run by the JR East Railway.

Limited menu (simple choice and ordering) of Western style sets, efficient made to order preparation, and good traffic flow worked impressively well. One server put together all meal sets, and three staffers ran the whole thing efficiently. Clean, convenient seating and train schedule monitors easily visible.
Runs like a Japanese railroad. 🚄

At larger stations and cities, there may be other early morning choices.
