JR Hakodate Station

JR Hakodate Station
gets my vote for best medium size rail station passed through this year.
It is not super busy as Hakodate is the end of the rail line, and the Shinkansen goes to Shin-Hakodate.
So a not super crowded modern building with open, bright architecture.
Very good casual food, Tully's, and Yamato Ta-Q-Bin store on the upper level, and a modern 7-Eleven on the ground floor with those high-tech coffee brewing machines if you don't want to go upstairs.
A comfortable space to pass through or spend time.
