Hiroo Sanpo Dori

Hiroo Sanpo Dori
This is the outlet of the short section of road that is the old shopping area of Hiroo. The whole area has changed so much since we first saw it, and you can see that the change continues.

Down that street is Tiger Gyoza and Abura Soba.

Sanpo Dori continues to the rear up to Arisugawa No Miya Park, and the Nambuzaka Slope.

This area, Minami-Azabu, has some embassies and many expatriots, so it is a vibrant and interesting area. Until I looked at this map, I did not notice that the Sacred Heart International School is right behind the shops. Right across from the park is the Japan LDS Temple (Mormon), and little further up the road is Roppongi Hills and Nishi-Azabu.

A very interesting area to explore.

  1. On one of our earliest trips, there was a bakery where that wine shop is now, and Kobeya bakery which still stands at the corner from which I took the photo. And with two from the Meidi Market on the third corner gave us a four anpan taste off. That was many years before we found the original Ginza Kimuraya.
