Not so surprisingly when one thinks about it, there were Poke Stops and Safari Zones right near the main entrance of those big electronic shops. I didn't get it immediately but by discretely looking at a couple of those smartphones made me realize they were all playing the same game.
This is less of a only-in-Japan experience since Pokemon Go is a worldwide phenomenon but the extend to which adults are also participing, that I found to be truly unique.
